I've been trying to put together a new strength training program for a couple of weeks. I did my first run through Thursday night after my 10k run. I really liked the routine, but felt it was lacking in a couple of areas. I really felt my quads yesturday morning and knew what was missing. I need more arms and core. I didn't feel one bit of soreness in my arms from the workout. The core is always hard to focus on. So I re vamped it up and I'm hoping that this is a good routine that will challenge the whole body, which is what I want from a circuit training routine.
I've been wanting to try out a class at the gym called Absolution, I finally see when it is offered at my gym and it's at 0830 on a Sunday. Can I get up that early? I'm going to try. My friend wanted me to do a hot yoga class tomorrow as well, but I can not afford it this week. I did enjoy the class, and will most likely get a pass.
The past couple of days has been very nice to run outside. I took advantage on Thursday and yesturday afternoon. I did a 10k run Thursday afternoon in 61 minutes, not bad for my first run outside on the pavement since the summer. Yesturday I got in a 13k run in 88 minutes. The wind was really blowing hard the first half, to which I was running into the wind. When I started the next half, I thought for sure the wind would help push me along, but that's when it cut out for a bit. Just my luck. I ran into some time issues at the end when I had to wait for a train to pass through the pathway. Still over all it was a good run.
